4 Ways To Enjoy Your iPod

Did you just buy an iPod and you don't know how to use it? Are you the kind of person who doesn't have time and patience to actually sit down and read about a new type of technology? Or you just know the basics but don't know how to maximize it? There are a number of things you can do with your iPod - other than playing songs. Sure, listening to music can be fun, but there are other productive ways to spend your time. Here are four simple ways to maximize your time with your iPod!

Learn a new language

What can be a better way to spend thirty minutes on the subway than learning how to speak a new language? It can be a great venue for personal development and a fantastic way to impress your boss or your clients. Other than learning a new skill, a new language can be a very good conversation starter. You can learn Mandarin or Japanese through one of the more famous methods - the Pimsleur approach. Or have a taste of European culture by learning Spanish or German.

'Read' yourself to sleep (continued...)

Do you have a hard time sleeping at night? Are you tossing and turning under your sheets? Have you tried reading a book or a magazine to be able to fall asleep but found it ineffective? Audio books can help you relax by listening to the soothing voice of narration. Have your favorite classics told such as Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea by Jules Verne or Emily Bronte's Wuthering Heights. You don't have to go through the hassle of holding a book while finding a comfortable position on the bed ever again. Plus you can listen to these stories with your eyes closed and under the comfort of your blanket- you will be more relaxed!

Get the latest releases

Have you ever heard your children or your co-workers talk about a new movie based on a book that you haven't read? If you are not a big fan of reading long and thick novels, listening to audio books will be to your advantage. Get ahead of your friends by reading books turned into movies such as The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe or the third installment of the The Lord of the Rings - The Return of the King. Stop asking questions about that movie and get yourself informed.

Calm your mind

Is your mind cluttered with so many things? Can't concentrate on your work or study? Do you want to go out and relax but you just can't spare that much time on yourself? Stress can weigh you down significantly - sometimes manifesting through body pains and other illnesses. You don't have to spend a lot of money going to a spa to get yourself relaxed. Sometimes incorporating Yoga meditations before sleeping and after waking up can bring positive results. Increase your concentration by listening to lush ambient sounds of The Awakened Mind System or be calmed by sensitive guitar sounds and melodic saxophone impressions by Dr. Stein's By the Sea.

There you have it, 4 alternative uses for your iPod.
